LABORATORIO DI CANTO LIRICO

Il Laboratorio di Canto Lirico organizzato dalla Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia di Portogruaro (VE) offre ai giovani cantanti italiani e stranieri un’opportunità di formazion unica e specializzata, impartita dal M° Claudio Desderi. Gli obbiettivi sono quelli di elevare le competenze tecnico-musicali spendibili in ambito professionale. Il laboratorio è rivolto a cantanti di tutte le nazioni, senza limiti di età.

I corsi inizieranno nel mese di gennaio 2008 e si concluderanno nel mese di luglio 2008.

L’attivazione del corso è vincolata al raggiungimento di un numero minimo di 8 studenti.

LABORATORY OF LYRIC

The Laboratory of Lyric organized by the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia di Portogruaro (VENICE) offers to young Italian and foreign singers an opportunity of specialized training held by M° Claudio Desderi. The intent is to enhance the technical-musical ability which is expendable in the professional area. The Workshop is available to singers from all nations, without limits of age.

The courses will begin in the month of January 2008 and will be completed in the month of July 2008.

Activation of the course is bounded to reaching of a minimum number of 8 students.

Claudio Desderi,

Interprete di Rossini e Mozart, dal 1973 è regolarmente ospite del Teatro alla Scala. Il suo repertorio spazia da Monteverdi a Nono, con particolare attenzione per il genere cameristico e liederistico e per l'opera di Schumann, Schubert e Brahms. La sua carriera lo ha portato ad esibirsi all'Opéra di Parigi, al Covent Garden di Londra a New York, Chicago in importanti ruoli mozartiani e rossiniani. Da diversi anni svolge un'intensa attività come Direttore d'orchestra che lo ha portato alla testa di numerose compagini italiane e straniere. Direttore artistico del Teatro Verdi di Pisa dal 1991 al 1997, del Regio di Torino dal 1998 al 2001 e sovrintendente del Teatro Massimo di Palermo fino al 2004, attualmente è consulente artistico del Festival Verdi di Parma.

Interpreter of Rossini and of Mozart, he has since 1973 been a regular guest of the Teatro alla Scala. His repertory ranges from Monteverdi to Nono, with a particular focus on chamber music and lieders and for the work of Schumann, Schubert and Brahms. His career has taken him to perform at the Paris Opéra, in London’s Covent Garden, in New York, Chicago and other locations performing Mozart and Rossini. For a number of years, he has enjoyed an intense activity as orchestral conductor, which has taken him to conduct leading Italian and foreign orchestras. Artistic director of the Teatro Verdi of Pisa from 1991 to 1997, of the Regio in Turin from 1998 to 2001 and superintendent of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo until 2004, he is currently artistic consultant to the Festival Verdi in Parma.
