Boris Baraz, violoncello

Con l'ensemble dei Solisti del Conservatorio di Mosca sotto la direzione di Sviatoslav Richter ha effettuato tournées in Francia, Polonia, Grecia e Bulgaria. Nel 1986 entra a far parte dei Solisti di Mosca, ensemble fondato e diretto da Yuri Bashmet con il quale, in formazione di trio, effettua numerose tournées in Francia, Germania, Giappone, Messico, Italia, Gran Bretagna etc. Ha collaborato con artisti di fama internazionale quali Oleg Kagan, Nathalie Gutman, Victor Tretiakov, Pierre Amoyal etc. Dal 1991 vive in Francia dove svolge attività concertistica con diverse formazioni. (“I Fiamminghi” - Gand, Belgio; “Arturo Toscanini” - Parma, Italia ; “Opera Flamande” - Anversa, Belgio; “Moscow Chamber Academy” – Belgio; “Solistes Européens Luxembourg”). Insegna violoncello e musica da camera presso l’Ecole Supérieure de Chambre (Châteaurenard) di cui è uno dei fondatori e alla Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, dove cura la preparazione anche del gruppo di violoncelli e contrabbassi dell’Orchestra Giovanile Italiana. Docente di masterclass a Capestang (Francia) e a Portogruaro, è anche professore all’Accademia di Musica di Schengen-Bratislava.

With the ensemble of soloists of the Moscow Conservatoire conducted by Sviatoslav Richter, he has gone on tour in France, Poland, Greece and Bulgaria. In 1986, he joined the Moscow Soloists, an ensemble founded and directed by Yuri Bashmet with whom, as part of a trio, he has effected numerous tours in France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Great Britain, etc. He has worked with musicians of international fame, such as Oleg Kagan, Nathalie Gutman, Victor Tretiakov, Pierre Amoyal and others. Since 1991, he lives in France, and plays in concerts with various orchestras (“I Fiamminghi” - Ghent, Belgium; “Arturo Toscanini” - Parma, Italy; “Opera Flamande” - Antwerp, Belgium; “Moscow Chamber Academy” – Belgium; “Solistes Européens Luxembourg”). He teaches the cello and chamber music at the Ecole Supérieure de Chambre (Châteaurenard), of which he is one of the founders, and at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, where he is also responsible for training the groups of cellos and double-basses for the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana. He holds masterclasses at Capestang (France) and at Portogruaro, and is also professor at the Music Academy of Schengen-Bratislava.
