Ubaldo Fioravanti,
double bass He studied at the Conservatoires of Rovigo and Florence, gaining his diploma in 1978. Subsequently, he attended courses in chamber music with R. Brengola and F. Rossi, and those for double bass with F. Petracchi and W. Guttler. In 1976, he joined the Solisti Veneti and since 1983 is first double bass for the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto. He first played as a soloist under A. Janigro in 1978 and has since then embarked on a brilliant career, playing both as soloist and in a chamber group, collaborating with internationally-renowned groups and musicians. He teaches at the Conservatoire of Rovigo, at the International Masterclasses of Rovigo and in Ferrara for the Accademia Mahler. He has recorded solo and chamber works for Claves, Dynamic and Amadeus. For publishing house L’oca del Cairo, he has recently reviewed A. Mengoli’s “20 studi di concerto”. |
